The Oxbridge Delegate Scholarship
This newly established scholarship program rewards a delegate wishing to attend CUIMUN and OxIMUN. The scholarship will allow the recipient to have the delegate fees and the social packs for both conferences fully subsidised. He/she will also be able to choose the committees they wish to delegate in at both CUIMUN and OxIMUN.
Any student who wishes to attend both conferences as a delegate may apply from any university in the world. Only individual delegates can apply to this award. Whole delegations are not eligible to apply to this scholarship program. However, the recipient of the award may attend the conference as part of a delegation but he/she should apply alone to the Oxbridge Delegate Scholarship. More than one member of a delegation may be able to apply to the scholarship. Although MUN experience is not a requirement, it is preferable for candidates to have gone to a few university-run conferences prior to their application.
Important Note: In the case that the individual delegate is part of a delegation which has already paid his fees before the deadline, the delegate will be refunded in the event he wins the scholarship. For individual delegates applying to this award, payment may be made after the winner is announced.
The delegate must have applied online to be a delegate at OxIMUN and CUIMUN prior to his application for the scholarship.
How to Apply?
The application should include:
- A cover letter explaining why you should be the recipient of this award
- A CV
We look for candidates in their cover letter to answer the following questions:
- What does MUN mean to you?
- Why would you like to attend CUIMUN and OxIMUN?
- What do you hope to accomplish by attending both those conferences?
- What would you contribute to the conferences?
Deadline: 15th of June 2017, 23:59 GMT
The Secretaries General of CUIMUN and OxIMUN will be the juries for this award. The award winner will be announced mid-June. The recipient of the Oxbridge Delegate Scholarship will be invited on stage at CUIMUN’s closing ceremony.
